It’s time for a confession: I love watching binge TV. I don’t love it quite as much as barbecue, but still I adore it.
And there is no TV show more binge-worthy than House of Cards. You haven’t heard of House of Cards? It’s a Netflix original show starring Kevin Spacey who plays a member of Congress trying, at all costs, to increase his power and influence.
But, what does this have to do with Valentine’s Day?
Well, ladies and gentlemen, House of Cards season 2 comes out on Valentine’s Day and the official BrisketMan position is that you should stay home and watch it with your sweetie(s).
Still, you may be wondering why a blog about barbecue is suggesting a politically themed television show. Simple: the main character Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) eats barbecue whenever he needs to cool down.
So, here’s my recommendation: order a slab of ribs and some sides then stay in and watch some awesome television.
I’ve compiled a list of great places in town to place carryout orders (in the evening), so use this list and have a low-key, barbecue filled Valentine’s Day.
Oh, and since Frank Underwood eats pork ribs, I suggest you do, too. And last thing, call your orders in as early as possible so you don’t miss out!
